music interests

My taste in music is a bit all over the place, and I listen to whatever I happen to like. A more detailed list can be found further down this page, but here is a short outline:

  • classical / orchestral
  • (video game) soundtracks
  • jazz & hip hop
  • jungle / drum & bass
  • vocaloid / jpop

I don't exclusively listen to these things, and I occasionally listen to some popular music, rap, rock, etc. but I seem to prefer instrumental music in general.

Below are some examples of music I listen to. It's not an exclusive or comprehensive list, nor is it in ranked order.

FYI these categories are broad, and pieces within the same category may differ in vibe, feeling, and sound textures.

classical & orchestral

usually listen to impressionism, some romantic and contemporary era pieces

soundtracks

huge fan of the soundtracks for Fire Emblem Awakening, Fates, and Three Houses! love the adaptive themes. Yu-Peng Chen's Genshin Impact compositions are also fantastic.

Shoutout to DPPt, HGSS, and PMD2 soundtracks for holding a special place in my heart. I also enjoy listening to Ace Attorney, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Deltarune, and many more titles, but it would take forever to list...

hip-hop and beats

jungle / dnb

ranges from older & more atmospheric stuff to newer & faster beats. Anything with drum breaks, really.

whatcore

a mix of probably breakcore, hardcore, electronica and miscellaneous stuff??

jpop / vocaloid

really moreso a mix of things like digital, rock, fusion, or whatever they are...
